My Fourth Liebster Award Nomination

I'm very happy about the fact some people take interest in blog and who I am. It's exciting to see I won an award, but to be honest, I am a bit tired of winning a nomination. It's fun and all great and all and I am grateful for the hand full of my favorite bloggers who have nominated me for all four, but I really hope this is the last one I receive. I hope to I achieve something greater soon. 


I've been nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by blogger friend Kyrstal from Spunkee Belle. She is very kind, sweet, and loves to blog! Thank you so much Kyrstal for the nomination.

The rules for the Liebster Blog Award are simple, only blogs with 200 or less followers are nominated, each person nominated must write some facts about themselves (it's usually 11), answer questions the nominator asks, and nominate some bloggers for the rewards asking them some questions as well.

*Liebster means lovely or great.

Here are Kyrstal's questions for me:

• What is your biggest fear? - My biggest fear are spiders and sharks. 
• If you could have a private dinner with ANY 5 people, who would it be? - Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Tom Anderson, Mark Zuckerberg and Matthew McConaughey.
• What is 1 thing you regret from your past and why? - I regret thinking that I could trust everyone and everything because I've learned even the people you can trust, can be mistrusted too.
• What's your favorite holiday? - My favorite holiday is New Years'. It doesn't matter what religion you are or where your from, almost everyone celebrates New Years'!
• What is your dream job? - My dream job is to be an entrepreneur I want to be running my own company.
• If you could date any celebrity, who would it be? - If I was older and he was younger
  Matthew McConaughey (But hey celebrity crushes change every year ;) ).
• What is 1 bad habit you would change? - Staying up way to late and spending too much time on the Internet.
• Chocolate or Vanilla? - It depends on my mood, so I say chocolate & vanilla! :)
• If you could eat 1 thing for the rest of your life what would it be? - Cheesecake, who doesn't love cheesecake?!
• What is one thing your readers may not know about you? - My readers may not know that I wear contacts to replace my prescribed glasses. Although, I love my glasses, to the public, they have never been seen.

1. I love sandwiches!
2. My favorite dessert is Cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake to be exact.
3. I don't wear much makeup. 
4. I love to watch reality TV.
5. You will usually find in my glasses and night gown all day on a Sunday.
6. Watching movies with friends and family makes me happy.
7. I love all the little things in life. Small sweet gestures from a loved one or just being able to enjoy an Iced Coffee in peace will make my day the best day ever. 
8. Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream is my favorite.
9. I keep a few handwritten journals where I write all my quotes, life's moments, and my thoughts. 
10. I love eating breakfast, you can literally have breakfast at any time of day.
11. I try to take as many photos and videos as possible. A picture is worth a thousand words.

My 3rd Liebster Award Nomination?

This is my 3rd Liebster Award Nomination since I started my blog and although, I am very excited for it yet again, I question if my blog has actually been making progress. Perhaps it's a good sign my blog gets recognized, but there hasn't been a progression in the amount of views and followers I have. Am I lacking something?

Anyway, thanks to Le'Shawn from March To December I have been nominated for the Liebster Award! Thank you so much for the nomination, it means a lot!

Here's a brief description on how it works:
Once you get nominated you write a post on your blog answering 11 questions your nominator asked of you along with a list of 11 facts about yourself, 11 questions for people you nominate, and 5-11 blog nominations of your own. The people you nominate must have 200 followers or less and must be notified. Then they too pass along the achievement. Liebster is a German word for lovely and endearing. It's supposed to signify your blog as a great start and establish some links in each other's blogs to gain more followers.


So to get started I'll answer the questions I was asked.

1. Go back 10 years what advice are you giving the younger you?

   I think I would advise my young self to start blogging and creating the projects I do before. Then was a better time to start, now there is just too much competition!

2. Most people can find things to "fix" about themselves. What do you love about yourself?

    I love the fact that I am confident enough to do what I like do. Although, I'm not very confident, that is the one thing that's an exception. 

3. Are you a "glass half full" or "glass half empty" kinda person?

    Glass half empty. I'm optimistic, but not THAT optimistic.

4. What is one goal you have for your future? 

    Be a millionaire by 25!

5. What is the theme song for your life?

     There is a band called SafetySuit whose single "The Moment" would be the theme song of my life. It's a dark sounding song, but hey everyone has a dark side.

6. What was your favorite toy as a child? 

    I had this doll named Suzy that I took with my everywhere!

7. If you could chose one fictional character or deceased historical person to spend the day with, who would it be? 

    Steve Jobs, he's historical right? ;)

8. What phrase or word do you overuse the most? 

     Meh. 

9. What completely creeps or grosses you out?

    Insects or bugs of any type.

10. If you were unable to live where you live now, where would you live? 

      That's a good question, I'll get back to you on that. 

11. Who is the most inspirational person in your life? 

      My parents, my sisters, and my best friend.

1. My favorite color is Pink.
2. I love Subway out of all the other fast food restaurants.
3. I started building websites since I was 12 years old.
4. I'm in the process of writing and publishing a full-length novel.
5. If I could be an animal, I'd be a Penguin! 
6. Iced Coffee and Chai Tea Lattes are both things you'd normally see me ordering at Starbucks.
7. I like having an account on every social network out there, it helps me get my name out there.
8. I refer to my little sister as munchkin online and offline.
9. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day.
10. I enjoy taking lots of pictures.
11. I wear contact lenses and glasses occasionally.

My Second Liebster Award Nomination!

I am so happy that people come across my blog and leave really sweet positive comments about it. A few people even drop over award nominations! This is the second time that I have been nominated for this award. This time my wonderful nominator was a great fitness and beauty blogger named Deepti. You can check out her blog here. Thank you, Deepti.

The Rules for the Liebster award are that I cannot nominate my nominator back, I must answer 11 questions from the blogger that nominated me, I must nominate  other bloggers who some less than 200 subscribers, I must notify my nominees and I must leave 11 questions of my own for my nominees to answer.

Deepti's Questions for Me:
1. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be and why?
The way I manage time & prioritize. If I was not such a procrastinator and managed time right, I would get a lot more done.
 
2. What is the best thing about being a blogger?
The best thing is having your own creative space online where your thoughts, your life, and discoveries can live freely.
 
3. If you get a chance to spend a day with a star who would it be?
Do famous entrepreneurs count? Because I would definitely pick Mark Zuckerberg. He's the creator of Facebook for crying out loud. Who wouldn't want to spend a day with him?
 
4. Would you confront a person who has talked behind your back?
I'm very humble and quiet about my feelings offline so most likely I would not.
 
5. What is the one thing in your makeup bag that you cannot live without?
I'm not a fan of carrying make-up bags in my handbag. I usually keep a lip gloss, little perfume, and a little cream in my handbag just in case however.
 
6. What is the best dish you can cook?
I make an awesome Chicken Alfredo Pasta
 
7. What if your best friend and you like the same guy?
HA HA! No personal questions please. 
 
8. Which movie do you relate yourself with?
I love the movie The Social Network. No I am not obsessed with Facebook
(Referring back to my answer to Question 3). I think it relates to me because of the scene and mood of the movie. Fast paced business-establishment and I want to be like Mark Zuckerberg in that sense- being the boss. 
 
9. What do you prefer giving or receiving?
 I prefer giving. It makes me feel better knowing I made someone smile. 
 
10.What is your favorite word?
I thought you would never ask. ETERNITY of course. It symbolizes my insight on life and how I think everything you do in this world lasts for an ETERNITY!
 
11.What is your favorite animal to have as a pet?
Goldfish are such a great pet!

Liebster Award!

     I was extremely excited last night when I came across a comment on my last blog post. Mostly because I don't receive comments often, but this comment was special. Scottie Key from Scottie's Paper Dolls commented to let me know she nominated me for the Liebster Award! I'm honored, thank you so much Scottie Key, this means a lot to me!

    Honestly, I'm not exactly sure how this award works or who started this award, but I'm sure glad to be a part of it anyway. From Scottie's blog post about the award, I learned that Liebster is German for "Dearest" and the award is given to bloggers who don't have many followers, but deserve some recognition.

The Liebster Award Guidelines

Each Person Nominated Must:

• Post 11 things about themselves. 
• Answer the 11 questions the nominator has set for them.
• Create 11 more questions to ask bloggers they nominate. 
• Choose 11 bloggers to nominate with not so many followers (200 or less). These lucky bloggers must be told. 

Note: Nominators cannot be nominated back.  

    I thought this was pretty cool, I've never heard of anything like this before. I think it's a great way to someone's day by letting them know you like their blog, share some stuff about yourself by answering questions, ask your favorite bloggers questions, and share blogs!
